NEW YEAR BLISS

I’ve been on vacation from work since December 28th, and I have enjoyed EVERY minute of it. I have had an amazing holiday vacay!! We hosted my family in Charlotte for Christmas. My mom, dad, and sister all came to stay with us and we all just showered Keaton with gifts galore!!

After that, Keishawn and I took time to visit his mom in Virgina pre-New Year’s. We stayed there for a few days and just relaxed. We visited a spot there call the Richmond Wine Station. If you live in Charlotte, it’s pretty much the same concept as Hoppin but solely for wine.

From Virginia, we took a small road trip up to DC for New Year’s. Believe it or not, it was my first time actually getting to “visit” the city. Ive been in the DMV area many times before, but I was never able to get out and enjoy the city or do all those touristy things. Though I really wanted to visit the National Museum of African American History & Culture, getting tickets in such short time was damn near impossible (and we tried every single day we were there). SO, we went to the Smithsonian and walked around the city to get our sight-seeing done in one day. We drank a lot and ate even more!

I hope everyone cherishes that they were blessed to able to make it into the new year. Challenge yourself to do something you wish you should have done last year, or focus on a goal that keeps getting lost in the shuffle of life. This year among a host of other things, I plan to become better at leaving work on time (I usually work 2 hours past go time which keeps me from seeing Keaton before bed), drinking MORE water, spending more intimate time with God, and creating great content.
